For more than forty years, the Oklahoma Student Art Exhibition has supported art students and teachers in public, private and parochial schools across Oklahoma. Each year, more than 1,000 entries are received through the program. The Visual Arts Scholarship Event (VASE) grew out of the Oklahoma Student Art Exhibition to provide an additional opportunity for talented student artists to showcase their artwork and build connections with the art community in Oklahoma.

The public is invited to 1219 Creative for a special preview “pop-up” showing of the best works from the 2015 VASE judging. These twenty works of art will be auctioned off Wednesday, September 17th to raise scholarship money for Oklahoma high school seniors. The Preview Pop-Up will be 6-8pm Friday, June 26th. This is a unique opportunity to preview the award-winning art and learn more about the VASE program. Meet program administrators and community partners happy to talk about the students, scholarships and art auction.
