1219 Creative is proud to feature digital collage surrealist Julia Lillard on Friday (the 13th!) May 13th from 6-8pm as part of our regular Second Friday series. The gallery will be filled with Lillard’s thought provoking look at life from a unique point of view. Lillard’s art is part humor, part social commentary and part Dadaism with outrageous visual attraction and expert technique.

“My influences are triggered by any image, color or situation that catches my attention. I let something outside of myself take over and usually have no idea what the end result will be. I’m a self-taught Oklahoma artist who, for the most part, creates surreal digital and paper collage. My first love was art photography, but in my 50s, developed into a love for collage and abstract paintings. The range of styles is somewhat eclectic.” – Julia Lillard
